Take the Virtual Tour! - WESTCOTT BEACH STATE PARK Westcott Beach State Park is a popular day-use and camping park on Lake Ontario, with rolling, wooded hills and open, grassy meadows sheltered by Henderson Bay. A spectacular view of Lake Ontario can be scene from the overlook near the plateau camping area. A small marina is adjacent to the long, sandy beach, to accommodate anglers interested in Lake Ontario's excellent black bass fishing. The park also has a children's playground, picnic areas, and hiking trails that do double duty in winter for cross-country skiing. |

Each year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised, due to lack of lifeguard coverage or water quality issues, swimming will be prohibited and therefore cannot be a guaranteed activity. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice. See HERE for all current swimming closures! To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. Campers must be 18 years old to register and occupy a campsite. If your site allows for pets, only 2 per site are permitted. Current rabies certificate required. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times. Plateau Loop is now PET FRIENDLY Pets are only allowed in designated areas. Pets not allowed in the day-use or beach areas. Please keep fires in designated areas only. There is a mandatory recycling program in effect. Swimming is permitted only when lifeguards are on duty. Campers must be 21 years old or older to possess or consume alcohol. No kegs are allowed at the park. Looking to reserve for just 1-night? If you make your reservation within 3 days of your arrival you can book a 1-night stay online or through the Call Center. This applies only to campsites. Peak Season: During peak season, a camping party and their equipment may occupy a site for a maximum of 14 continuous days. After which, the camping party and equipment must leave the site and facility for 2 days before registering again for another site.
